APN Outdoor (a division of APN News and Media) is Australia’s market leader in the dynamic and fast-growing outdoor advertising sector. It has the leading operators in each of the major outdoor categories: street furniture, posters, transit, and supersites.
APN Outdoor was referred to KDK Media initially for issues management, as a result of adverse media reports following the group’s restructure. KDK Media’s extended brief was to build new brand awareness for the company and its service lines following the restructure.
KDK Media’s approach covered issues management and strategic public relations planning which included devising key corporate messaging, media campaigns and media training. This initial project involved establishing media relations for APN Outdoor’s key spokespeople with all marketing media. This was followed by devising and implementing a comprehensive public relations campaign to continue profile raising the company as the industry leader, key company announcements and the launch of a number of APN Outdoor key products and services.
